Definitive Oversight (Please)
I don’t wanna know the last time I drink here
I wanna feel like I sleepo on a deep sweet kasmire
With open eyes and times to see
These landscapes running over me
I wanna let it go like it’s an ordinary day
Like time is letting me a chance to stay
And then when I can’t keep from looking back
I will forget to say good bye
For ever I will say hello
To my dear friends I barely know
The only thing I wanna think
Is that we’ll meet up tomorrow
Time is a lonely space
It’s made with ruptures where love is bleeding
It’s made of futures that are never coming
And heavy pasts that batter the ground
And open skies in memories
You go across like a soldier
A thirsty man in a desert
A space where true any wonder of turning back
Is like a lethal shoot of smack
I wanna know I am living this night
Among others and no pointing
Over my scarred bony shoulders
Give me a hand and make my fly
I wanna jump at once directly in oblivion
The ocean of this missing life
That cuts me dry right to the bone
I just wanna be able to smile
A definitive oversight
That makes me forget I must go
