FREE WHEEL

I bet you know
A better place to go
In the sky

So many ways
Down below
I would give up
For this ride

I would erase the track
And let nothing
In my back

Cause we all wanna play free wheel
You don’t teach a bird how to fly

And as for what I know
All that I missed is just a blow

We all wanna spend the entire day
Like children in the snow

If you press one I’ll dial on you
If you press two I’ll double the dime

Some illusion can tell the truth
And some of them
Clear as a rhyme

This shadow
We will never cast
Cause we don’t care
About the past

If you join me in my fantasy
For a while

I would be delighted
To unbottle
My best wine

You’d better count
On your fingers
Chances we had
To meet in this life

Oh baby can you ring that bell
I think my door is never shut down

I will take every word you spell
To rewrite the map of my mind

And when I did the math
I found
That I’m a terrible liar

And when I did the math

Like a beautiful fire

I don’t believe in fate
I don’t believe in the past

I plead for premonition
And all those things that never last

Uncertainty
For the gamblers
Is the closest thing to faith

The more narrow the road
The more you feel safe
In the flames

I bet you know
A better place to go
