She Said

She Said

she said she was sorry anytime she would go
she said she was lonely in the light of the show

how many times did you start to cry in this chamber on your own
how many times did you have to surrender to the laser of dawn

she said she was standing
in a dark lack of space and no candle (to bless)
she said she was walking
in total emptiness
this land alone

how many times did you say the pain would go as soon you’d understood
how many times did you keep your heart from beating for good
it’s kind of hard drug when you get the flashes from the first row
it’s a lonely gun when you think life is about a gold medal
how many times did you measure yourself in this vacant shadow

she said unfortunately
she could laugh for nothing till she forgot
she said she was trying
but in the end
she’d better not

she said it was all misery and paper blue
that she would melt like sugar in the news
she told another story
that she was trapped like a bird in the glue

how many times did you smile on that perpetual picture they took
how many hours did you spend to pass to X ray the way you look
how many times did you try to make the cover of the book
when do you know it’s time to get you soul down from the hook

but it’s a single trip this road
and night is nothing but dark if stars stay cold
and just a single life you grow
or just an understatement of this hollow

how many times did you have to
how many times did you choose to
how many times were you asked to
how many years are left to find you…

how many time did you try to flow like a river from an empty bed
how many time did you renounce to your emotions to clean your puppet shed

and it’s a single trip this night
it’s rather time to lose some glass shoe
